About KII

In 1985 Larry Van Der Jagt founded Knowledge Implementations, Inc. to create a commercially viable array of products and services based on his specific knowledge and expertise.

If you are visiting this site looking for support with your public safety radio project or other technical endeavors, please reach out as Larry is still interested in pursuing those opportunities.

Larry formed Knowledge Implementations after spending 10 years in the design, manufacture and sales of distributed process control instrumentation in the employment of a company that was then known as Taylor Instrument Company. During his tenure at Taylor, Larry participated in most aspects of corporate operations, including systems engineering, worldwide application support for a variety of multimillion dollar projects, project management of those projects and the direct selling of those projects.

During the first decade of its existence, Knowledge Implementations, Inc. executed a wide array of projects and activities.

Among the more notable projects that Larry has been involved with is participating in the early stages of the development of the IEEE 802.11 standard. In fact, Larry was one of a small team of people who began the effort to develop a wireless LAN standard in 1987 that eventually grew into the IEEE 802.11 effort. Larry also served as Chairman of the Physical Layer Subgroup during the years that the alternatives for standardization were being explored and retired from that position when the standard was nearing technical stability.

During the last decade, Larry has been concentrating on providing contract engineering services in support of the public safety wireless system installations in several of the major tunnels in the NY metro area as well as in-building at the new World Trade Center 7 building.

In August 2010 Larry choose to dissolve Knowledge Implementations as a NJ Corporation and to bring it back to life as an LLC.

Since that time Larry has been executing a variety of projects and pursuiting a variety of interest.

At the end of 2020 having relocated to Maryland, Larry dissolved the NJ LLC and to date has not had the need to create a new entity for executing projects.
